Restoring the Sacred!

St. John Cantius, Chicago

Here is a remarkable 30 minute, exquisitely beautiful video about restoring the sacred in Chicago's St. John Cantius Church.

In a decaying culture that celebrates death, embraces mediocrity, and revels in the perverse and ugly, this is a refreshing and inspiring respite.

Gloria in excelsis Deo!

Hello there,

I want to thank you for posting that video. I have been reading your blog on and off for the past 3-4 year and although I am not a Lutheran, I do like much of what you have to say. I am especially happy that you posted this particular video since I am a Roman Catholic.

It is true that much of the sacredness of Church and Liturgy has been done away with over the years. I remember a time when you could hear a pin drop it was so quiet just before Mass. Sadly now I have to hear about everyone's aches and pains when I am trying to have some quiet time with Christ in the tabernacle. Ah the good old days.

Thanks again and keep up your good work. This world ( and I ) need alot of prayers.

God bless you,

Dan
